A SCHOOL OF ONYX: Lorilee through a window of the school house at El Marmol -- built around 1920. On our second visit here, we chanced upon an old woman who spent 6 years as a student at this school. What a story. |

SOLID ONYX WALL: Beautifully laid up, this schoolhouse wall was made from solid onyx. I thought onyx was black, didn't you? These stones were off-quality onyx taken from the nearby mine. |
